WHITE RIBBON POLICY
Policy Statement
This policy is intended as a summary statement expressing our company’s commitment to prevention of violence against women.
The policy statement is based upon guidelines as set out in the “White Ribbon Australia” Program.
Company Commitment to White Ribbon Policy
Our company’s Management are committed to the prevention of violence against women through promoting and advocating education to all men in our employ, plus in the wider community to ensure the contribution to control and prevent such violence. We are committed to a zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying and harassment.
We recognise that violence against women is driven by inequality within society, cultural, and organisational structures. The workplace is a key environment within which we can all address these issues.
Summary of Education and Commitment
* Promoting equality in the workplace
* Ensuring all Staffing roles are available to women and men, including
leadership roles, and development opportunities.
* Supporting flexible working arrangements where ever possible
* Having workplace policies and procedures to support victims of domestic violence
* Improving safety and identifying risks within the workplace
* Training Staff how to respond respectfully and appropriately if or when someone discloses that they are or have been a victim of domestic violence
* Educate Staff to maintain confidentiality and privacy as required in any given circumstance for protection of victims
* Zero tolerance of disrespect, harassment, discrimination, and violence in the workplace, ensuring training for responsibilities of Management and Staff to maintain a safe workplace.
* Providing a workplace where our Staff feel safe, respected, and can excel within their chosen job positions.
Conclusion:
To ensure adherence with the guidelines of Government Policy.
Ensure we look at the Government Policy changes and updates as advised to keep our policy statement current.
